A beautiful B&B and garden, the welcome was amazing and the family. The couple went out there way to accommodate me and my wife, service was first class and the rooms. I can't speak highly enough of lower house b&b and will recommend it to family and friends.
Rooms: Very cosy

Lower House B&B was a fantastic place, we stayed for one night and had a lovely time. The building is beautiful and the setting and surround is stunning. The hosts Chris and Nicki were so lovely and made us feel really welcome! Thank you both so much - will definitely stay here again, next time we're in that neck of the woods!
Rooms: The rooms we stayed in had ensuites with showers, and we're nice and spaceous. The beds are unbelievably comfy and we slept really well!
Nearby activities: We went to the 'Within The Walls' event at Ludlow Castle, and had a fantastic time!
Food & drinks: The room came with decaf coke, fresh water, milk and coffee/tea making utilities which was fantastic.
Noteworthy details: The hosts Chris and Nicki are so lovely and couldn't have been any more welcoming. They were so flexible - and despite our hectic plans, we're able to accommodate with no trouble at all - amazing people!

Fabulous welcoming hosts who went above & beyond to make our stay wonderful. A beautiful house set in stunning countryside. The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us and our dog, everything we needed, and so lovely to have comfy beds with feather duvets and crisp white linen. The breakfast was cooked to perfection with warm pastries and delicious fresh fruit salad.
We will definitely be visiting again, it was a real treat!
Rooms: We stayed in the cottage which has been tastefully decorated, comfy beds with lovely crisp linen & feather duvets. We had everything we could have needed including a small fridge.
Food & drinks: The breakfast menu is extensive, with a wide choice for cooked items, including unusual sausages! Daily prepared fresh fruit salad with creamy yoghurt, warm pastries, toast and a selection of jams, honey, Nutella and marmite. Also cereals and yoghurts too.
Noteworthy details: Really stunning countryside in this area with lots of castles, gardens and attractions to visit. We liked The Nolan Trust Gallery at Rodd, near to Presteigne.

Chris and Nikki were wonderfully warm, fun and welcoming. They took time to visit and chat with us during breakfast.
Breakfasts were wonderful. Chris went out of his way to lay in some vegan sausage for me, as well as satisfying my husbands traditional English breakfast desires he misses since living in the U.S. Fresh eggs? The ladies were in a coop in the back yard.
As we were visiting at the beginning of the week, Chris helped steer us toward places open Monday and Tuesday for dinner.
The room was well appointed (we stayed in Owl) with a huge bathroom just in the hall. We overlooked a most beautiful garden in full bloom.
We left feeling we had made real friends. Just the best!

Excellent B & B in a rural location, perfect for walking and exploring. As we have a dog with us, we stay in the little stable cottage next to the main house. It's cosy and spotlessly clean. There is a lounge and bathroom downstairs, and a twin room upstairs, with tea making facilities a fridge, and treats for both us and our four legged friend. Also a delightful outdoor seating area, perfect to take in the tranquility of the place. Chris and Nic are fabulous hosts, warm, friendly and full of information on where to walk and visit in the surrounding area. We will be back again soon.

Nikki and Chris are excellent they happily go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Stable Cottage and the main house is spotlessly clean and breakfast had a huge range of options to choose from.

Beautiful place! I was taken on a surprise 40th birthday weekend by my husband and son Edward. Nicki and Chris couldn't have been better hosts. They were so kind. Breakfast was amazing with everything you could wish for. My mom and step dad, plus their dog Teddy came over to join us for breakfast and we were made to feel so welcome. We stayed in the little cottage next to the main house which was immaculate. Had comfortable beds, all the facilities and a cosy little front room. Couldn't have asked anymore. Thank you so much.

Stayed for a couple of nights with Nicki and Chris and had a lovely stay. Nice location and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and the house had lots of period features. Would stay again!

Lower House is in a lovely position and the room was great. Chris and Nicky were very hospitable. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the extra sausage for the dogs!
